back to blogging.

italy and NYC were amazing and I can't wait to post my pictures. however, I still haven't posted pictures from the last of my england adventures. bear with me, an excess of posts is on its way.

countryside.

these are from our walk through the amazing english countryside. love it. a cute old man and his brother in the london stake guided us and proved that even age 80 is no reason to slow down. i wouldn't be surprised if i was put to shame in a race with ron. it was about an 8 mile "hike" and it was the perfect way to leave england.

best. summer. ever.
as my time here in london is coming to an end, i really just want to cry. the friends i have made, the sites i have seen, for the eye-opening experiences i have tried to plant in my head with stone... it has been so great. i am so lucky. anyways, i did an assignment for the study abroad... a representation of the walks i did the first couple weeks. check it out here if you are bored and want a little visual tour of london via my lens. as for now, i'm off to italy for a week with two amazing girls. then, i get to see my family in NYC. new york + my family = perfect combo. then, a lot of food network episodes on tivo, wedding of the century, another exciting wedding , road trips, ad lab, provo, friends and then i'll take junior year by the reins and try to keep getting better at this game many like to call college.

oxford.

according to my oh-so-interesting english professor, this is the "world's best bookstore"

real life oxford students. they were taking final exams... thus the attire.

look familiar? try harry potter. this is the great dining hall where harry and company eat dinner. yes, he sits at that exact seat in the movie... maybe. and for the record, i was dubbed as colin creevy. any clues as to why?
if i were smart, i would choose oxford.

jar(t).
conceptual art... my class of choice here in london. one of our assignments was to gather 100 objects relating to a single system into a small jar. i was initially intimidated by the task, but the weight was lifted when i took a step outside and it was raining. 100 raindrops... of course! we hopped on the tube as a class, clutching on to our mini-jars and headed to trafalgar square. here, we stood in a straight line and held out our jars in silence. most people stared with looks of confusion.. but there was also the curious folk who came up and asked us questions about our jars. they loved it. see more of our excursion and what everyone else filled their jar with here.

circus circus.

these were taken at warwick castle. i never thought that circus tents would be the focus of my picture taking, but i really liked them!

bed + breakfast.

one of our rooms... and "the bay window" as whitlie would put it

breakfast destination

half of the crew
my best times in england (thus far) were spent this weekend at this bed & breakfast. a cute couple and their cat rambles run the place. they enjoyed having 6 girls stay with them for the night... she even made us a full english breakfast when we woke up.... perfect weekend with some of my favorite people.

borough market.

we went here today. i couldn't stop thinking about how in love the women in my family would be with this place. one more reason that we should take a family trip to europe next summer...

hampton court.

yesterday we went to hampton court and i continued to feed my brain with historical facts and sites. once again, the gardens were my favorite part. yes, those are mushroom shaped trees. afterwards, we had dinner on the river and ran into dustin hoffman and emma thompson. no big deal. we headed home via this beautiful bridge. it was a perfect day- that seems to be the trend here...
